Corporate Insurance Risk Manager Expert Professional (h/f/d)Share this jobThe opportunity:As an Insurance Risk Manager for Europe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the insurance risk strategy across multiple countries and business units. This is a high-impact position where you will lead a small team in developing risk frameworks, managing broker and insurer relationships, and ensuring compliance with global and local insurance requirements. You will collaborate closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to protect the organization’s assets and support business growth through effective risk transfer and control mechanisms. This is a unique opportunity to influence global insurance practices within a dynamic, international environment.How you will make an impactManage the insurance risk management function across Europe and its cluster countries with your team.Be responsible for the Global Erection All Risk and General Liability Insurance.Assess insurance needs across countries and ensure appropriate coverage.Ensure compliance with global directives and local insurance regulations.Support tenders and risk reviews with business units and legal teams.Integrate local risk control with global initiatives (e.g., property and transport risk).Design systems for premium allocation and risk-based financial incentives.Conduct training and seminars to raise insurance risk awareness.Contribute to M&A due diligence with insurance risk assessments.Support local claims handling and premium payments.Your Background10+ years of experience in insurance risk management, ideally in a multinational context.Degree in Law, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.Strong experience in reviewing and negotiating large-scale project contracts.Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance-related systems.Experience managing brokers and third-party administrators.Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.Valid work permit for the region.Please submit your application in English.Location: Massy, Île-de-France, France; Vaesteras, Vastmanland County, SwedenJob type: Full timeExperience: ExperiencedJob function: General ManagementContract: RegularPublication date: 2025-07-16Reference number: R0099363About Hitachi EnergyHitachi Energy is a global technology leader advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
