Lead Technical Writer – AI at Spectro Cloud Who We Are Spectro Cloud aims to make cloud infrastructure boundaryless for the enterprise. We are a fully remote organization. What’s The Job? As a Technical Writer, you will lead the technical writing for our Artificial Intelligence products, improve writing practices, and champion technical documentation. You will manage the backlog, create new tasks, document new features and changes, and create reference material, diagrams, and how‑to guides for our practitioners. Technical expertise with developer workflows (git, Kubernetes, CLI, GitHub, containers, Docker, Terraform) is required. You will also shape the future of our docs platform, using Docusaurus and custom automation. This is a full‑time, remote‑first role available in the U.S. and Canada. OTE range DOE: $120‑150k (CAD) or $130‑180k (USD). Qualifications and Experience At least six years of experience as a technical writer. At least one year in a lead role that requires mentoring other writers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A self‑starter capable of diving into technical features and creating documentation. Experience analyzing information architecture and restructuring content. Ability to coach and mentor other writers. Comfortable writing in markdown. Proficient with developer tools such as git, CLIs, Docker, and GitHub. Knowledge of containers and virtual machines. Comfortable working remotely in a remote‑first culture. Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle). Ability to create diagrams and visual resources to aid learning. Passion for learning and exploring new technologies. Strong ownership mindset. The Hiring Process Screening interview – 30 min to verify fit. Technical interview – 60 min, includes a writing assignment. Culture/Team interview – 30 min to assess team fit. Information architecture discussion – focused on content strategy.
