Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - AI Health Assistant Alan is building an AI health companion, Mo, that delivers instant, 24/7 personalised medical expertise through chat, voice, or video. Mo is an LLM‑based conversational assistant that can prescribe, triage, and proactively follow up on care, and it is one of our flagship products in a vertically‑integrated health partnership that combines insurance and smart healthcare delivery. We seek product engineers with 3+ years of experience who thrive on building state‑of‑the‑art AI systems for high‑stakes healthcare problems. The role sits at the intersection of product engineering, ML engineering, and medical expertise. Responsibilities Serve users with a memorable, snappy chat experience and enrich interactions with rich, actionable content. Scale Mo’s systems to support up to a few million active members, optimizing latency, error rates, and recovery. Integrate Mo with all Alan services (digital chat, health‑planner maps, prevention programmes, etc.) to maximise member value. Extend Mo’s architecture and agentic framework to support future chapters, new skills, and multilingual/ multi‑country deployment. Influence system architecture and code quality, mentor teammates, and contribute to our engineering culture and hiring process. Qualifications Strong background in software engineering and systems architecture, with a focus on back‑end development. Hands‑on experience with traditional ML, LLMs, or ML‑DevOps is a strong plus. Product‑mindset: building solutions that are used and have real impact. Self‑directed, pragmatic, and collaborative; eager to learn, teach, and grow. Fluent in English; speaking French is not required. Passion for high potential and curiosity; demonstrate this in your application.
