Solution Sales Specialist for Patient Cloud Solutions

About the TeamThe Patient Cloud Solution Specialists team is a key player in driving the business development of our platform offering, supporting eCOA, eConsent, myMedidata LIVE, myMedidata Registries, and Sensor Cloud. We work closely with life sciences companies and CROs to implement clinical trials that include these Patient Cloud products, fully or as standalone solutions.
Responsibilities- Drive quarter-over-quarter incremental sales and revenue for Medidata's Patient Cloud business.
- Own important deals, forecasting, progressing, and closing Patient Cloud opportunities month-by-month and quarter-by-quarter.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Partner teams, and Account Managers to qualify opportunities, build product momentum, and increase Medidata Patient Cloud market share.
- Work with Global and Regional Account Managers and Partner teams to develop sales strategies, presenting and promoting the value of Medidata's Patient Cloud solutions directly to Partners, and supporting Partner Bid Defense Meetings.
- Assist Account managers and Business Development teams in communicating with prospective customer departments such as Clinical Finance, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Clinical Study Teams, IT, etc.
- Support, establish, and manage quarterly Field Marketing activities for the Patient Cloud portfolio, including webinars, conference attendance and presentation, customer and industry events.
- Support, establish quarterly Product Marketing activities (including white papers, press releases, case studies).
- Design talk tracks for email and cold call campaigns to be used by both Inside Sales and Market Development.
- Work alongside Global Learning & Development to develop and deliver training offerings to increase the solution area with the direct sales force.
- Strong knowledge of the biopharmaceutical clinical trials R&D process and the CRO landscape.
- Software and services sales experience in the biopharma industry with a strong track record of consistently meeting targets. Selling experience in SaaS sales cycles.
- Experience in eCOA, eConsent, Medical Devices, and Telemedicine.
- Ability to work with and manage relationships with customers and partners at the management level.
- Perform qualification and discovery with new clients to drive pipeline growth by identifying scientific and value for the client.
- Comfort with sustained business travel of 30-50%.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Relevant field sales experience.
- Minimum of 4-5 years direct selling experience of patient cloud products to the pharmaceutical industry required.
The base salary pay range for this position is $116,250 to $155,000. This role is eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
