Strategic Business Development Specialist for Nanoscience

Job Summary

The appointed Business Development Engineer will lead the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive business development strategy within the realm of nanotechnology and nanoscience, with the overarching goal of establishing a sustainable Open Innovation Test Bed within the collaborative framework of the consortia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a commercial development plan for the nanotechnology domain, including a comprehensive marketing strategy.
  • Promote the consortium's technical solutions toward the industrial community, aiming at boosting the engagement and accessibility for private companies.
  • Provide support to consortium partners in their promotional activities.
  • Cultivate and nurture high-potential industrial relationships in the short and medium term.
  • Organise meetings and facility visits for customers and industrial partners.
  • Plan, promote, and execute events, workshops, and participation in relevant conferences and trade fairs in nanotechnology and related fields.
  • Contribute to project reporting activities.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in material science, physics, chemistry, and related fields.
  • Competences in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
  • Familiarity with the problematics of the interaction and the relationship between industry and academia.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills in English.
  • Ability to be organised and analytical, but also to take initiative and deliver original ideas.
  • Professionalism, trustworthiness, self-motivation, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Working Conditions

Fixed term contract of 36 months maximum.

The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
