Prepare and produce an array of premium pastry items, desserts, and baked goods following established recipes and standards.Showcase innovation by crafting new pastry recipes and presentations while ensuring consistency in flavor and quality.Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked pastry kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols at all times.Work collaboratively with the Pastry Chef and kitchen staff to facilitate seamless operations and timely service of pastry items for various dining venues and events.Mentor junior team members, offering training in pastry techniques, culinary skills, and quality assurance practices.Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and procurement of pastry ingredients to optimize resources and reduce waste.Perform regular quality assessments on pastry offerings to uphold the highest standards of excellence in presentation and taste.Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP guidelines, and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic workspace.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of pastry preparation, including breakfast pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and decorative elements.A strong passion for presentation with a keen eye for detail.1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel environment.Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen.Familiarity with food hygiene standards, HACCP, and occupational health and safety practices.Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with professional grooming standards.
