About the Role

The Senior Actuary will play a key role in supporting the Group's financial performance and ensuring the accuracy of actuarial calculations. This will involve working closely with the Controlling team to forecast financial processes, analyze business growth and profitability, and define required actions to steer the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Management
    • Develop and implement actuarial models to analyze business profitability and identify areas for improvement.
    • Work with the Controlling team to set and monitor business ambitions, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
    • Contribute to the development of tools to detect deviations in actual to expected results and propose remediation actions.
  • Regulatory Role
    • Provide expert opinion on underwriting policy, reinsurance arrangements, and technical provisions.
    • Coordinate the calculation of technical provisions and ensure the appropriateness of underlying models and methodologies.
    • Assess the sufficiency and quality of data and compare best estimates against experience.
  • Transversal View
    • Provide a transversal view on actuarial topics and facilitate relationships with entities and other Group teams.
Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience in actuarial science, financial engineering, or data science.
  • Strong technical skills in actuarial modeling, coding, and data analysis.
  • Business acumen and ability to work in a collaborative/project mode.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex issues to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
