Work Environment

In this role, you will join the Group Chief Underwriting Office as the Senior Manager of Pricing for Commercial Short Tail Insurance.
Context & Major Challenges
The newly established Global Chief Underwriting Office is tasked with driving profitability and growth through effective Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design, and Technical Underwriting Excellence. This will be achieved in collaboration with AXA Entities across both Commercial and Retail sectors, focusing on:
- Steering Portfolio Design
- Formulating Underwriting Product Strategy and Profitability Assessment
- Providing Technical Underwriting Guidance
- Developing Pricing Models, Platforms, and Analytics
- Implementing Risk Appetite strategies
- Designing and purchasing Ceded Reinsurance strategies
As a key member of the CUO Office, you will collaborate closely with the Group Pricing Team and engage with underwriting and executive management to fulfill our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure leading-edge Technical Pricing for Commercial Short Tail Products.
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Technical Development Operations to execute the Pricing Technical Excellence Plan.
- Conduct comprehensive Pricing Technical Reviews and assess Pricing Strategy, Adequacy, and Governance.
- Evaluate and validate the Commercial Short Tail Pricing Strategy and Model Calibrations.
- Support the Performance Management Process through metrics validation and strategic planning.
- Enforce adherence to the Pricing Policy, ensuring best practices and technical standards are met.
- Address Regulatory Pricing Issues and develop action plans to comply with legal and regulatory changes.
- Build a robust network of relationships with stakeholders to drive global technical Pricing enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry developments that impact pricing and communicate relevant insights.
- Share expertise in pricing methodologies, including algorithms and advanced techniques.
- Guide the development of central pricing models and platforms as necessary.
- Engage with CUO members, Entity Underwriting, Pricing teams, Reserving, Technical Development Operations, and Finance to enhance pricing accuracy and overall performance.
Scope of Role
- Global responsibility across all P&C Commercial Short Tail businesses and regions.
- Accountable for the pricing strategy within the GCUO framework, overseeing P&C Commercial Short Tail lines of business.
- Management of the P&C Commercial Short Tail Pricing team.

Required Experience
- Fully Certified Actuary
- Extensive experience in P&C Commercial Short Tail pricing within AXA or similar organizations

- Experience leading diverse, multicultural teams
