Automotive Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrification Systems Engineer to join our team at Garrett - Advancing Motion. As an Electrification Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of system processes in accordance with automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including the development and execution of system processes in accordance with automotive standards.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and customer teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Requirements Development: Elicit and analyze stakeholder requirements, authoring system requirements that satisfy stakeholder needs.
- System Architecture: Support the development of system architecture for electrical products, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Functional Safety: Collaborate with the Functional Safety Team to develop system-level work products according to ISO 26262 for applicable products.
- Integration and Validation: Support the analysis of system-level integration and validation plans, working closely with Quality, Functional Safety, and Design teams.
- User Guides: Author user guides for products, providing clear instructions for internal and external customers.
- Technical Issue Management: Manage technical issues, coordinating with customers and cross-functional teams to define problem statements, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Supplier Management: Participate in supplier panel selection, supplier development, and collaborate on supplier strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with an emphasis on electronics, motor controls, embedded software, or electromagnetism.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, including hardware and software development, product launch experience, and understanding of embedded controls.
- Skills: Experience with in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet), strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, and understanding of automotive standards.
