As a Business Development Leader, you will play a key role in driving the commercial strategy for our Grid Solutions business in the North and South Europe region. Your primary focus will be on tendering and sales activities for large and complex projects, primarily in the HVDC segment.
You will be responsible for managing the non-technical aspects of global business disciplines, including tendering strategy, pricing, and commercial/legal negotiations. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders, such as the Commercial and Tendering Team, as well as external partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the commercial strategy to deliver order intake and associated CM and cash
- Contribute to the region's goals for orders, CM, and Down Payments targets
- Lead deal reviews and approvals in accordance with delegation of authority
- Manage and improve regional operating metrics, such as productivity, proposal throughput/yield, cost accuracy, or cycle time measures
- Ensure compliance, integrity, and EHS standards are met
You will also be responsible for identifying and structuring resources to support tender preparation and submission, as well as providing hands-on leadership for the deals you are following. Additionally, you will drive and/or support HVDC business development actions, working closely with the GSI tendering and expert teams.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Extensive and demonstrated years of experience in a leadership position in sales, tendering, or operation
- Experience in Grid Solutions and Turnkey is preferred
- Willingness to travel 40% plus
