Membership Sales Director

Responsibilities:
* Conduct tours for prospective members
* Call and request active members to make personal referrals and to assist with recruitment efforts
* Plan and implement strategies to meet club membership goals
* Develop and ensure that established procedures for processing prospective members' applications are consistently followed
* Follow up on telemarketing efforts, member referrals, leads from staff, catering contracts, newspaper articles, lists, publications, etc.
* Assist prospective members in fulfilling application requirements
* Promote club activities using table tents, newsletters, direct mail flyers, notices on the club website and other means
* Coordinate with the Events Manager the updating of the club's master calendar
* Maintain online member directory
* Hold prospective member functions
* Process member resignations; develop reports and undertake special projects as applicable if membership retention problems arise
* Determine markets to be canvassed for qualified individuals and complete and maintain perpetual member invitee roster
* Assess the need for and make recommendations regarding membership classifications to help ensure that the needs of ever-changing markets are met
* Be present during club operating hours and events to assist in meeting and greeting members and guests
* Research the need for ongoing sales promotions regarding demographics, market segmentation data, etc.
* Track the success and overall performance of all membership activities
* Coordinate all club public relations efforts, members' newsletters, news and media events, use of social media, and club promotional materials
* Attend management and staff meetings
* Develop and adhere to a departmental budget; after approval, monitor and take corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained
* Report approved new members to the Controller to initiate proper administration of their memberships; ensure that applications are completely and properly filled out, that initiation fees are collected and that new members understand the privileges and costs of becoming a member
* Maintain club's member bulletin boards
* Work with the Food and Beverage Department as needed to coordinate special member events
* Take photographs of members and club officers at social events
* Survey other clubs for information useful in setting and revising club membership policies
* Oversee the administration of all membership rules and regulations to ensure consistency in interpretation and application; update club rules and regulations and keep members informed of changes
* Complete other appropriate assignments made by the General Manager
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality or Resort Management, Communications, Public Relations or related major
* Three (3) years of work experience in the hospitality industry
* Five years of relevant work experience

* Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
