Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Global Markets Risk team at Bank of America. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and communicating market risk exposures. You will work closely with the trading desk and other risk and support groups to ensure adherence to risk policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide risk oversight and analysis for EMEA GFX, supporting crucial risk management oversight and analysis for a broad range of trading activities.
- Identify and manage market risk exposures, developing mitigation strategies and resolutions in accordance with the bank's risk appetite and risk limits.
- Provide risk effective challenges for front line units, ensuring adherence to risk policies and procedures.
- Develop and execute market risk coverage plans, monitoring, testing, and risk assessments, and market risk reporting for specific products.
- Liaise with businesses to understand market trends and impacts on portfolio, utilizing knowledge of stress testing and its applicability to market risk.
Requirements:
- Good academic background, which may include a postgraduate qualification.
- Good people skills demonstrated across various communication styles (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrable working knowledge of financial markets, ideally with a good grasp of Macroeconomics.
- Working knowledge of financial derivatives and modelling.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize across several competing demands, meeting tight deadlines.
