Project OverviewThe CONTINUUM project aims to create a comprehensive production framework for immersive audio/video content, enabling the creation and delivery of immersive experiences across diverse user platforms and playback configurations. The project is a collaboration between IRCAM, AMADEUS, and OWL Perception, combining expertise in acoustics, audio signal processing, immersive audio, and virtual/augmented reality.
Job Responsibilities- Design and develop active acoustic reverberation systems
- Perform numerical simulations to optimize audio signal processing algorithms
- Experimentally validate the developed systems in the variable acoustic concert hall at IRCAM
- Develop and conduct perceptual experiments in various environments
- Contribute to the integration of the active reverberation module into real-time spatialization environments
- Write scientific articles and technical reports
- Doctoral degree with a strong component in 3D audio
- Excellent knowledge of audio signal processing
- Good understanding of room acoustics
- Experience in the design and modeling of acoustic systems
- Strong experience in multi-channel audio practices
- Proficient in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, and Max
- Practical experience with acoustic measurement instruments
- Good experience and methodology in critical listening
- Excellent skills in scientific communication
- 32 days of paid leave and 11 days of time off in lieu
