About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vendor Manager to join our IT organization at L'Oréal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing vendor management strategies that drive business value and optimize our sourcing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Strategy Development: Develop and implement vendor management strategies that align with our IT strategy and business objectives.
  • Market Knowledge and Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and identify potential vendors based on factors such as tech expertise, quality, cost, reliability, and reputation.
  • Vendor Governance and Relationship Management: Manage vendor relationships to ensure they are meeting contractual obligations and delivering the expected level of service and quality.
  • Vendor Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor vendor performance through regular reviews and assessments, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Issue Resolution and Compliance: Act as a point of contact for vendors to resolve any issues or disputes that may arise, and ensure that vendors follow regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with vendor relationships and implement measures to mitigate those risks.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep Market Knowledge: Have a deep worldwide market knowledge of IT global vendors as well as of IT products and services (software, cloud, hardware, and outsourcing).
  • Strong Experience in People Management: Have a strong experience in people management and be able to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong Packaging and Presentation Skills: Possess strong packaging and presentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Contract Terms and Conditions: Have an understanding of contract terms and conditions and be able to negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Fluent English: Be fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or IT: Hold a Master's degree in Business Administration or IT, and have at least 2 years of experience in vendor management.
