Strategic Development Officer

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Advens for People and Planet team, you will play a crucial role in the strategic development of the endowment fund. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the right-hand person to the CEO, ensuring the smooth coordination of internal activities and initiatives, and maximizing team and project effectiveness.

Strategic Support

  1. Assist the CEO in defining and implementing the overall strategy of the fund, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
  2. Contribute to the development of the strategic roadmap and monitor the progress of key initiatives, providing recommendations on strategic decisions based on thorough analyses.

Project Coordination and Management

  1. Lead cross-functional or key projects from conception to execution, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Oversee the management of priorities and optimize resource allocation, ensuring the successful execution of action plans.

Information Management and Communication

  1. Serve as a central point of contact for the flow of information between the President/CEO and the rest of the organization, ensuring effective internal communication and strengthening team cohesion.
  2. Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic documents for board meetings and other governance bodies, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Operational Management

  1. Monitor budgets, human resources, and administrative processes to ensure organizational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  2. Ensure the smooth operation of internal processes, optimizing resource allocation and streamlining workflows.

Qualifications

Requirements

  1. Significant professional experience in fundraising or business development, with a proven track record of success.
  2. Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to write and promote editorial content.
  3. Proven ability to push through, get things done quickly and in an organized manner, with strong leadership ability and the capacity to influence and unite teams.
  4. High adaptability and priority management, with fluency in French and English, and knowledge of German, Italian, or Spanish a plus.
