Join McCormick & Company, a global leader in the spice and seasoning industry, as a Category Manager Senior. This role is based in Avignon, France, and reports to the Director of National Clients. As a Category Manager Senior, you will be responsible for building and deploying our commercial strategy to maximize market share in the retail channels you are responsible for.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Key Account Manager and Category Management team to define and implement growth levers for Sell Out and Market Share in your retail channels.
- Act as a Category Partner with clients to develop a shared vision of the category strategy to drive growth together.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the optimal implementation of our business plans.
- Identify risks and opportunities with clients, monitor competitor actions, and recommend or implement action plans to ensure our performance.
- Manage and train a Category Manager.
Required Profile:
- Business school degree or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in a leading company in the PGC industry, with a background in Category Management, Sales, or a related field. You should have a first experience in management.
- Good knowledge of the French retail market.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make strategic decisions.
- Business acumen and result-oriented mindset.
- Ownership and ability to drive projects forward in complex negotiation environments.
- Team player with excellent collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- Able to build relationships and influence various profiles internally and externally.
- High resistance to pressure, rigor.
- Leadership skills and ability to drive results in a complex environment.
- Master of Distributor and Consumer panels, pack office.
