Job Summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Food and Beverage Operations to lead our culinary team at Grand Hyatt Vail. As a key member of our resort's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily food and beverage operations across all dining venues, ensuring quality, efficiency, and exceptional service.
  • Menu Collaboration: Partner with our Executive Chef and Celebrity Chef to design and implement creative, seasonal menus.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of culinary and service staff.
  • Guest Experience: Develop strategies to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the food and beverage budget.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote dining experiences and special events.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • 6 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience.
  • Experience running a seasonal resort.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • At least 5 years experience in a senior role in a food and beverage environment.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Must possess high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Experience implementing new F&B concepts.
