Senior Program Manager - VAT Operations

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the VAT Operations team within the Compliance division of the Marketplace. The ideal candidate will drive the automation of manual processes, harmonize rules across various legislations, simplify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and develop metrics to improve team productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Automation of Manual Processes:
    Collaborate with tech teams to identify and implement automation solutions for manual VAT operations processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  2. Harmonization of Rules:
    Analyze and align rules across multiple legislative frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance, working with internal and external stakeholders to implement harmonized processes.
  3. Simplification and Synergy:
    Review and simplify SOPs to streamline workflows and improve team productivity, identifying synergies across operations to optimize resource utilization.
  4. Metrics and Quality Goals:
    Develop and track metrics to measure process quality and performance, setting and driving quality improvement goals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


• MBA preferred

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis, Excel

• Experience in influencing senior leaders and technical teams to achieve business goals

• Availability to work in autonomous environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Experience working in operations, compliance, or marketplace environments.

• Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects, particularly in automation and process improvement.
