As a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer at SingleStore, you will play a critical role in helping our Fortune 1,000 customers unlock the full potential of their data. You will work closely with our Enterprise Account Executives to identify and deliver business value to our customers through the design, development, and deployment of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with Account Executives to close new business and expand existing accounts across Europe.
  2. Design and develop POCs with prospective customers to demonstrate the value of SingleStore's cloud-native database.
  3. Drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, acting as the technical lead/subject matter expert on query tuning, load testing, and other technical aspects.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to share feedback on customer needs and requests.

Requirements:

  1. Experience selling infrastructure software, preferably a data platform or distributed system.
  2. Minimum 5 years of technical pre-sales experience, with a strong understanding of databases, cloud environments, and container setup.
  3. Proficient programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, or other programming languages, as well as data engineering tools like Apache Spark and ETL tools.
  4. Demonstrated proficiency in ANSI SQL query languages.
  5. Ability to travel within the region and internationally.
  6. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field.
