Quandela stands at the forefront of advancing quantum computing through the innovative manipulation of single photons.
We are in search of a dedicated Fabrication Specialist to enhance the performance of Quandela's single-photon sources.
Your role will involve working with quantum dots situated in micropillar cavities, as you collaborate with our research team to elevate the brightness and indistinguishability of our devices.
Your contributions will be pivotal in refining the micropillar fabrication process and conceptualizing new device designs. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating and optimizing optical setups to assess how fabrication techniques influence the optical characteristics of microcavities. The outcomes of your work will shape the research direction for next-generation production devices and propel advancements in the field of single-photon sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the production processes of Quandela's single-photon sources.
- Analyze and enhance fabrication steps that affect device performance.
- Design and test innovative concepts aimed at boosting SPS brightness and indistinguishability.
- Construct and manage custom setups for characterizing micropillar cavities at cryogenic temperatures.
- Develop and implement a research roadmap, ensuring timely achievement of project milestones.
- Maintain thorough documentation of results and communicate findings through patents, scientific publications, and participation in international conferences.
- Work closely with production teams to facilitate the transfer of successful results.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nano-micro processing techniques, including thin film deposition, lithography, and etching, along with experience in the electrical and optical characterization of semiconductor heterostructures.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience (including PhD) in a research laboratory.
- Solid understanding of nano-micro processing techniques.
- Familiarity with optical microcavities and semiconductor heterostructures.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex optical experiments independently.
- Proficiency in software coding, particularly in Python or other programming languages.
- A collaborative mindset with the capability to manage multiple projects across various departments.
- Strong independent working skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to maintain organized, frequent, and clear reporting.
