About the Role

Lenstra is currently collaborating with several major corporations to establish their self-service Data Platforms. Our responsibilities include developing the vision for the Data Platform while aligning with our clients' strategic objectives and existing technological frameworks. We implement these platforms with a focus on seamless integration with IT, security, and legal requirements. The Data Platforms we design empower organizations to distribute data tasks effectively, necessitating robust Data Architecture principles that our Data Architects are essential in defining and enforcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of our clients' Data Platform roadmap.
  • Provide insights into data architectures and platforms to guide stakeholders in adhering to data strategies.
  • Establish policies enforced by the Data Platform to ensure data teams deliver high-quality data products.
  • Support client data teams in their project delivery, ensuring technical coherence across Data Products.
  • Collaborate with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to meet compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
  • Encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices within the technical community of our clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and contribute to enhancing Lenstra's analytics capabilities.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, particularly in Big Data and Data platforms.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing technological components of Data platforms (collection, storage, processing, visualization).
  • Strong understanding of data architectures and cloud environments, with experience in GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices and tools, including DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and platforms like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for managing cloud resources.
  • Experience in deploying and managing data pipelines, models, and applications in cloud settings.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools for secrets management, encryption, and key management.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data engineering tools like dbt or dataform.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex challenges.
  • Excellent SQL skills with experience in large-scale data transformations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective in team environments and managing multiple tasks.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process consists of four interviews:

  • Behavioral interview with one of the partners
  • Final discussion with the client
