Position Overview
We are in search of a Lead Data Analytics Engineer to play a pivotal role in the enhancement and growth of our state-of-the-art data warehouse, referred to as the 'analytics engine.'
- Design Analytical Data Frameworks: Construct detailed data architecture models and automate data workflows with an emphasis on scalability and efficiency.
- Develop Scalable Data Models: Create and refine dimensional/3NF/Data Vault data structures to boost the precision and usefulness of our data.
- Enhance Our Data Warehouse: Optimize our Snowflake data warehouse for effective data storage and access, improving query performance and overall data pipeline efficiency.
- Mentorship Responsibilities: Guide and mentor junior data engineers to promote ongoing learning and skill enhancement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate data automation and ensure smooth data transitions across various teams.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, and Jinja coding utilizing dbt.
- Advanced knowledge of Snowflake and Azure cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to standardize data processes across multiple data centers.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Preferred: Experience with Data Vault modeling.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio Code, and Jira for version control and task management.
- Preferred: Understanding of graph technology (e.g., Neo4j).
