Are you a skilled engineer looking to expand your expertise in a foreign language? Onyx-Conseil is seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join our team at the EPURE facility in France. Don't worry if you're not fluent in French - we'll provide comprehensive training to help you reach conversational level.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with our esteemed French and UK colleagues and be part of a groundbreaking project. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering professional engineering services for the upkeep of all assets and equipment at the EPURE facility. You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and contribute to the development of safe systems of work and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply technical knowledge for engineered systems and structures
  • Identify and escalate business risk where applicable to plant and engineered systems
  • Make evidence-based engineering decisions to solve technical problems
  • Bring C&I engineering skills to the team, which could potentially include one or more of the following: Electrical distribution, functional safety, PLCs, machinery safety, intrinsic safety, BMS, and specialist instrumentation
  • Providing hands-on support for UK Trials at EPURE
  • Contribute towards the development of Safe Systems of Work and Work instructions
Requirements

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with:

An HNC/HND with additional experienceProven ability to deliver engineering across similar manufacturing/research environments incorporating infrastructure facilities, plant, and equipmentExperience of delivering facilities engineering and maintenance services across the life of an assetAbility to communicate in the French Language (training will be provided)Relocation to France and willingness to live within 1 hour of the Valduc siteAbility to operate in workplaces of substantial hazard (radiological, explosive, toxic)Comfortable working in the defence industry in support of the UK nuclear deterrentWhat We Offer
