Job Title: Senior Director of Data Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Data Engineering to lead our data engineering practice and drive the development of our data architecture and engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud native technologies, and data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our data architecture and engineering strategy and roadmap
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to our data engineering teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of cloud native technologies and data governance practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and guidance to the organization

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud native technologies, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Proven track record of leading data engineering teams and driving the adoption of cloud native technologies and data governance practices
  • Strong technical skills in data engineering, data architecture, and data governance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration and data security
  • Knowledge of Kafka streaming and Parquet storage
  • Experience with containers, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of machine learning and agile development methodologies

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
