Job Title: Senior Director of Data Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Data Engineering to join our team at Publicis Groupe. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for executing data architecture assessments, defining and implementing data transformation strategies for clients, and designing and delivering modern and enterprise-grade target architectures for data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute data architecture assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Define and implement data transformation strategies to meet client needs and drive business value.
  • Design and deliver modern and enterprise-grade target architectures for data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of data governance models to ensure data quality and compliance.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in data-related technologies.
  • 3+ years of expertise in cloud-related data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven track record of leading data audits, assessments, and strategy development for clients.
  • Experience in designing and delivering data solutions in production, at scale, using modern solutions and stacks.
  • Strong expertise in data ingestion, distributed data processing, and programming languages (Java, Scala, Python).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and data governance, security, and cataloging concepts.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using cloud-based DevOps services or Jenkins/Bamboo.
  • Thought leadership in data engineering and experience with writing blogs, creating point-of-views, and presenting in internal/external technical forums.
