Your Role
As Head of Contracts, you will be responsible for managing the team responsible for the delivery of contractual service agreements for large-scale offshore windfarm projects across the EU HUB. Your key responsibilities will include defining contracting strategy, implementing and supervising corrective and preventive maintenance activities, leading contract reviews and negotiations, and developing contracts governance processes.
Responsibilities and Functions
- Define contracting strategy, including specifying key milestones.
- Implement and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance activities to maintain/recover asset availability/reliability.
- Lead contract reviews, optimization, and negotiation, and act as escalation point of contact in commercial discussions.
- Support the gathering of risk and opportunities through supplier meetings and manage issue escalations.
- Develop contracts governance processes, reporting, and control of contracts progress and status.
- Lead O&M delivery of tender processes and coordinate internal stakeholders and processes.
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of technical annexes, providing commercial views.
- Ensure alignment between contracts to reduce contractual interface risk.
- Define, implement, and resource the organization structure for managing substantial contractual agreements.
- Identify and notify stakeholders of contractual or commercial risks and impacts of contract variations.
- Manage and coordinate advice on key commercial risks under existing service provider contracts.
- Manage claims, warranties, and variations with contractors.
- Provide key commercial advice, assessment, and recommendations to support business plan delivery.
- Monitor and anticipate claims made by contractors and develop mitigation strategies.
- Analyze key risks in new contracts and provide recommendations for changes.
Experience
You have an Engineering Degree level qualification and significant experience in leading tendering processes, contract negotiations, and commercial delivery of contracts. You have proven ability to manage negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales and are flexible to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in northern Europe.
