Young Life in France is seeking a Staff Associate to pioneer ministry in international schools in Lyon, France. The ideal candidate will partner with one or more international schools in Lyon, supported by a full-time American staff person living in Lyon.
Key Responsibilities- Provide spiritual leadership on a personal and professional level.
- Engage in direct ministry with teenagers of multiple nationalities.
- Participate in staff and training events as required.
- Develop a plan to equip and disciple English-speaking volunteer leaders.
- Establish and collaborate with a Committee of local adults.
- Raise 100% of financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
- Communicate ministry updates and progress to donors.
- Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors.
- Maintain professional relationships with school administration and teachers.
- Maintain confidentiality in a secular country.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and open-mindedness regarding French culture.
- French language school and/or a college degree (or minor) in French is highly preferred.
- Experience as a Young Life volunteer leader is required.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
- Entrepreneurial skills and/or mindset.
- Proven relational skills with teenagers and adults.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Three-year commitment required.
