Position: Assistant Chef for Banquet Services
Role Overview:
As the Assistant Chef for Banquet Services, you will report directly to the Banquet Chef and play a crucial role in ensuring seamless service operations. You will lead and coordinate various service teams, adapting your management style to align with our brand's ethos. Your culinary passion will drive you to maintain high standards of food quality while focusing on efficiency and profitability through adherence to established recipes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Banquet Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Contribute to the development and revision of technical recipe documents and the banquet service brochure
- Oversee the presentation, quality, and serving temperature of dishes during events
- Prepare and dispatch dishes in accordance with technical specifications and timelines
- Address unique customer requests with professionalism
- Engage with guests during events by showcasing part of the food preparation process
- Implement brand and operational policies and procedures
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience
- Organize team activities, emphasizing customer service and skill development
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Exemplify the values of hospitality and service excellence in all interactions
- Maintain a professional appearance in line with the hotel's grooming standards
Qualifications:
- BTS in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Assistant Chef in high-volume catering, brasserie, or luxury hotel environments
- Proficiency in French is required
- Ability to inspire, train, and lead a culinary team
- English language skills are advantageous
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, hygiene standards, and operational management
- Demonstrated leadership qualities: positive mindset, collaborative spirit, and problem-solving skills
