About the Role
The AXA Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of P&C Short Tail Business Risks. This role will be responsible for managing risks resulting from P&C Short Tail underwriting and claims handling, for commercial lines.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and map (re)insurance risks through sound portfolio and business knowledge and sound understanding of underwriting strategy.
- Contribute to systemic risk modelling activities and to the risk appetite set up, bringing expert judgement to models teams.
- Review and approve standards and policies for insurance, assumed reinsurance, and ceded reinsurance.
- Contribute to entities In-Depth Review and Technical Reviews agenda and work.
- Ensure 2nd line of defence with 2nd opinion on P&C strategic plan, CEO dialogues questions, Underwriting referrals to Group, CLEAR, Portfolio Management Process in Commercial Lines, and Standards/Policies breaches identification and remediation.
- Contribute to promote a P&C Risk Management culture throughout the AXA Group.
About the Team
The Group Head of P&C Short Tail Business Risks reports to the Head of P&C Business Risks and is an active contributor to the preparation of the Group Underwriting Committee (GUC) submissions.
