We are currently seeking a Lead Project Strategist to be part of our Global SkinCare category team. This role will involve collaboration with colleagues from various locations and cross-functional teams across Europe and the USA.

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional in the self-care sector who has a proven track record in managing new product development (NPD) projects across diverse markets. As the Lead Project Strategist, you will oversee the management of new product initiatives and modifications within the Skincare business unit for both EU and US markets. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Portfolio and Project Management, you will play a crucial role in our strategic endeavors.

The responsibilities of the Lead Project Strategist include ensuring the timely execution of new product developments and change initiatives, utilizing appropriate local or global methodologies and tools. You will be accountable for coordinating launches with cross-functional Central Branded Business teams and individual market teams across Europe and the USA. Your role will encompass initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing each assigned project.
You will interface with various teams, including cross-functional Branded business teams, market teams, the Senior Leadership team, and manufacturing partners.


Role Responsibilities
  • Conducts project planning, tracking, and scope management while ensuring compliance with quality standards, execution, and reporting of multiple complex and high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Inspires and leads cross-functional teams, whether or not established project processes and templates are in place, to achieve results in the development and delivery of new initiatives.
  • Facilitates project meetings, ensuring effective use of time and making decisive resolutions regarding project direction or issue resolution.
  • Coordinates daily activities of teams involved in the project and may offer guidance to other project team members.
  • Proactively monitors project progress and issues, providing progress reports; resolves or escalates issues and initiates corrective actions to meet critical milestones.
  • Ensures clear communication with all key stakeholders, overseeing interdependencies and risks to realize projected benefits.
  • Maintains organized and accessible project documentation.
  • Engages with the Senior Leadership team and peers to support problem-solving and planning efforts.
  • Responsible for the effective execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the project management process.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific or technical field, with several years of progressive responsibility in the pharma/self-care industry and a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with the product development lifecycle and regulatory requirements in the self-care industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles along with demonstrated analytical, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates potential issues by engaging individuals across functional boundaries.
  • Capable of synthesizing inputs from technical and commercial functions, preparing presentations with relevant project information, and presenting confidently to the Senior Leadership team.
  • Proficient in English and possess excellent computer skills (Office, MS Project).
