About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Legal Counsel to join our team at Besix International. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and support to our international operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of international law, including contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with international laws and regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential business partners and clients to ensure their compliance with international laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with international laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development teams, project managers, and contract managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in international laws and regulations and provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in international law, with a strong background in contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced degree in law (LL.M. or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proficiency in English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
