JOB OVERVIEW

The UFR Pipeline Engineering Specialist is responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of the UFR package, focusing on flowlines and associated components.


Project Overview:
The annual budget is projected between 80 to 100 million dollars until the project reaches its Final Investment Decision (FID) for Phase 1. The total investment budget for this phase is estimated at 10 billion dollars.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent is expected to uphold exemplary standards in H3SE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and training requirements.

Additionally, the role entails:

  • Staying informed about UFR-related Company Rules and Specifications, as well as international standards, to extract applicable requirements for the UFR package.
  • Managing studies or surveys requested for pipeline engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, and installation.
  • Developing and maintaining all necessary technical documentation related to the UFR package, while also contributing to the main Project Management documents.
  • Reviewing and validating UFR documentation issued by Contractors to ensure all engineering and construction aspects are adequately addressed.
  • Ensuring that HSE&Q issues are appropriately managed in all technical documentation, raising concerns about any design choices that may affect UFR equipment.
  • Acting as the technical reference for Contractors, coordinating pipeline activities and guiding personnel in their roles.
  • Supervising the fabrication and testing of pipeline equipment across multiple fabrication yards, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and H3SE project policies.
  • Collaborating with other Package teams for interface matters.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing testing and qualification activities performed by Contractors.
  • Ensuring safe working practices are maintained throughout the project.
  • Providing timely reports to the UFR Manager regarding project progress and concerns.
  • Assisting the UFR Manager in liaising with partners on technical matters.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all UFR documentation.
  • Contributing to lessons learned and project close-out activities.

Under the guidance of the GPI UFR manager, the Specialist will ensure that the UFR package meets operational, maintenance, and reliability standards in line with project objectives.

The role is situated within the context of a significant project phase, characterized by multidisciplinary coordination and a focus on optimizing economic outcomes while adhering to high technical quality and H3SE standards.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • A master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • A strong inclination towards project management.
  • A minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in large offshore oil & gas projects, particularly in UFR engineering.
  • Expertise in Deepwater and high-temperature, high-pressure developments.
  • Strong teamwork skills and effective relationship management with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to synthesize information and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • A focus on cost optimization and process improvement.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and energy in work.
  • Proficiency in English.
