ROLE OVERVIEW

The UFR Pipeline Engineering Specialist is responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical components of the UFR package, focusing on flowlines and associated appendices.


Project Overview:
The annual budget is projected between 80 to 100 million dollars, with a significant investment budget allocated for the project's initial phase.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Uphold and exemplify adherence to H3SE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and training requirements.

Demonstrate commitment to ethical standards and the company's Code of Conduct, actively promoting the Anti-Corruption Program.

During the execution of services, the Specialist will ensure the following:

  • Stay informed of UFR-related Company Rules and Specifications, as well as international standards, to extract applicable requirements for the UFR package.
  • Identify and manage any studies or surveys necessary for pipeline engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, and installation.
  • Develop, issue, and maintain all essential technical documentation related to the UFR package, while also supporting the creation of key Project Management documents.
  • Ensure comprehensive review and validation of engineering documentation issued by Contractors, addressing all aspects of engineering, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Ensure that HSE&Q considerations are integrated into all technical documentation, addressing any deviations or design choices that may impact UFR equipment.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for Contractors, coordinating pipeline activities and guiding personnel in their roles.
  • Supervise the fabrication and testing of pipeline equipment across multiple fabrication yards, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and H3SE project policies.
  • Collaborate with other Package teams for interface matters, with support from the Interface Manager.

Supervision and Control:
o Oversee testing and qualification activities performed by Contractors.
o Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning of UFR equipment, ensuring seamless handover for installation.

  • Participate in project reviews as required.
  • Ensure safe working practices are upheld throughout all project phases.
  • Provide timely reporting to the UFR Manager, consolidating reports and addressing concerns.
  • Assist the UFR Manager in liaising with partners regarding technical matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all UFR documentation.
  • Collect 'lessons learned' and contribute to project close-out activities.

Under the guidance of the GPI UFR manager, the Specialist will ensure that the UFR package meets operational, maintenance, and reliability standards in line with project objectives.

The role is set within the context of a major project, focusing on maximizing economic outcomes while addressing technical challenges and maintaining high H3SE standards.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong inclination towards project management.
  • Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in large offshore oil & gas projects, particularly in UFR engineering.
  • Proficient in Deepwater and high-temperature/high-pressure developments.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and effective relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills for resolving technical challenges.
  • Focus on cost optimization and process improvement.
  • Autonomous, proactive, and energetic approach.
  • Fluent in English.
