Job Description:

Position Overview

The CEA is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to extend the capabilities of the AMITEX code, a massively parallel code for numerical simulation of mechanical behavior of heterogeneous materials. The successful candidate will work on developing non-periodic boundary conditions, exploring hybrid CPU/GPU architectures, and implementing multi-scale couplings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extend the AMITEX code to include non-periodic boundary conditions
  • Explore the use of hybrid CPU/GPU architectures for improved performance
  • Develop multi-scale couplings using the AMITEX code

Requirements

  • PhD in numerical mechanics or related field
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Fortran
  • Experience with GPU programming and parallel computing
  • Good understanding of materials science and numerical methods
