Postdoctoral Researcher: Extending Massively Parallel Code for Non-Periodic Simulations
il y a 3 semaines
POST-DOC : Extension of the massively parallel code AMITEX: non-periodic, GPU, coupling H/F
Job Description:The CEA is seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to extend the capabilities of the AMITEX code, a massively parallel code for numerical simulation of heterogeneous materials. The successful candidate will work on developing non-periodic boundary conditions, exploring hybrid CPU/GPU architectures, and implementing multi-scale couplings.
The AMITEX code is a powerful tool for simulating the mechanical behavior of complex materials. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with the development team to extend the code's capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing open-source libraries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in numerical mechanics, experience with open-source code development, and a solid understanding of GPU programming. Familiarity with the 2decomp library and FFT-based simulations is a plus.
The position is located at the CEA's Saclay site in France. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research projects.
The applicant should have a strong interest in computer development, particularly through open-source codes, and be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
The contract duration is 24 months, and the position is open to candidates with a strong background in numerical mechanics, fluid mechanics, or physics. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the subject matter and a strong interest in the project's objectives.
