We are looking for a skilled and committed General Liability Claims Supervisor to play a vital role in our Risk-Claims Management Team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in intricate general liability and litigated claims management, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, foundational knowledge of property insurance, and strong analytical skills. A proven history of identifying risks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate claim frequency and severity is essential. Key Responsibilities

The main duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Lead and oversee a team of claims professionals, ensuring the effective management of General Liability and Property claims from initiation to resolution.
  2. Apply comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies, coverage limits, and legal frameworks.
  3. Assess and adjudicate General Liability and Property claims.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to collect necessary information and documentation for claims investigations.
  5. Review complex General Liability and Property claim cases, making informed decisions based on thorough analysis and risk evaluation.
  6. Work closely with the direct report General Liability analyst, providing guidance, mentorship, training, and support.
  7. Maintain precise claims records and documentation, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
  8. Participate in Claims Reviews & Litigation Strategies Forum.
  9. Coordinate with legal counsel and external experts as required.
  10. Analyze claims data and trends to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction.
  11. Prepare and present reports on claim metrics, trends, and financial implications to senior management and stakeholders.
  12. Collaborate with the AVP & Director of Claims Management for insights and recommendations based on claims data.
  13. Work with third-party administrators (TPAs) and other stakeholders for efficient claims processing.
  14. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate the overall liability and property program.
Required Qualifications

Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as general insurance, business, or finance.
  2. Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and regulations.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  4. Familiarity with legal concepts related to liability claims and contracts.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

  1. 5+ years' experience in the legal, insurance, or claims management sector.
  2. Extensive experience in complex general liability claims and litigation.
  3. Foundational knowledge of property claims.
