Role Overview:
Newrest is seeking a dedicated Operational Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the operational processes from inbound to outbound logistics of food, beverages, and equipment. The primary objective is to ensure that all departments adhere to established standards and timelines, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor departmental activities to guarantee compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct operational compliance assessments to evaluate performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Pick and Pack, Food Production, and Transportation teams to ensure adequate staffing for optimal On Time Performance (OTP).
- Work closely with leadership to implement proactive strategies aimed at achieving Dock Ready Time (DRT) goals.
- Utilize the Winrest Application (TIMEBLOCK) to monitor OTP through essential time stamps for equipment movement.
- Ensure that agents are present at their workstations to facilitate timely DRT performance.
- Track and compare planned DRT against actual performance, escalating any discrepancies exceeding 10 minutes to departmental leadership with justifications.
- Document compliance issues and communicate findings to leadership for necessary corrective actions.
- Provide operational support as requested by management.

- Maintain professionalism and a positive demeanor in all communications and task execution.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
- Regular attendance is essential for this position.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in inflight catering, airport hub operations, manufacturing, logistics, or the food industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of staff.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Strong understanding of investigation methods and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and operational workflows.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Robust analytical skills for data interpretation and risk management.
Work Environment:
The role requires working in varying temperature conditions, with the necessity to stand or walk for extended periods. Employees may frequently lift, bend, and communicate effectively. The position may involve lifting and moving items weighing up to 40 pounds, with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.
