Continuous Improvement Manager for Industrial Change Management

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to support our industrial change management program across 2 sites of Hub CAC Europe. The successful candidate will demonstrate visible leadership on Safety and People Empowerment/Enablement and will be focused on continuous industrial improvements in terms of People and practices to improve productivity, energy efficiency, reliability, quality and cost of operations.

About the Role:
The position is shared between 2 sites, with a focus on applying and following-up the phase 2 methodology in Le Teil and preparing for phase 2 and helping the site grow in Fos. The champion will go through a training and certification process and is a feeder job for future operational positions.

Key Responsibilities:
The I-cube champion will be a key position of industrial change management deployment and leads the implementation of various best practices across the 2 sites. Responsibilities include:

  1. Deploying and sustaining I3 program (phase 1 and phase 2) within the 2 sites, focusing on people and implementing practices to reach performance.
  2. Cultivating and promoting a strong continuous improvement culture across the sites.
  3. Supporting analysis of processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation.
  4. Training people to enhance their continuous improvement skills.
  5. Implementing and sustaining I3 practices.
  6. Generating detailed continuous improvement initiatives across the plants of the hub to generate savings.
  7. Providing technical support, training and expertise to on-site teams for I-Cube deployment and improvement projects.
  8. Participating in the network and sharing within the hub and within RAC I3 community.
  9. Maintaining and creating appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis.
  10. Supporting Operation Sites & Supply Chain team members to support continuous improvement deployment.
  11. Capturing and communicating learning to enable best practice transfer and recognition within his/her hub and the other hubs.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  1. A Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Process, Material or Chemical Engineering.
  2. ~2 years of experience in Process/Production/ Operations Management / Projects/ Operational excellence programme management on a site level or central support function level.
  3. Good Continuous Improvement culture and ability to learn fast methods.
  4. Strong Analytical skills and problem solving skills.
  5. Good Project Management skills.
  6. Able to quickly develop technical / process expertise.
  7. Ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
  8. Ability to positively influence teams in a matrix organisation.
  9. Green belt is a plus.
  10. Taste for digital tools.

Language:
Fluency in French and English is required, with other languages highly appreciated.

SOFT SKILLS:
Ability to influence without authority, ability to prioritise tasks, project management and planning skills, ability to lead multi-disciplined teams, rigour and problem solving, analytical and synthetic mindset, excellent oral and written communication, good interpersonal skills, autonomy, teaching and coaching skills.

Travels:
Regular visits to the site he/she is not based on, punctual travels for benchmark and trainings.

Location:
Based in Le Teil or Fos with weekly visits to the other site (2h distance).
