As the Senior Director of Professional Services, you will be responsible for driving customer success by ensuring the successful delivery and execution of paid and invested professional services engagements and training programs. Your leadership will shape the strategic direction, operational excellence, and team development within this crucial business unit.

Your Impact:

  • Strategic Leadership: Own the Professional Services, Architecture, and Training strategy for EMEA South, aligning with Databricks' global goals and fostering rapid growth in a rapidly expanding market.
  • Financial Acumen: Provide accurate revenue forecasting, manage team utilization, and oversee the P&L to ensure profitability and reinvestment in growth initiatives.
  • Partner Ecosystem Development: Cultivate strong relationships with Delivery Partners and Accredited Training Partners, leveraging their expertise to scale our service offerings and reach a wider customer base.
  • Team Excellence: Build a high-performing team through talent acquisition, development programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Customer Success Champion: Drive consumption growth by balancing revenue targets with the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes, ensuring our clients maximize the value of Databricks' platform.
  • Strategic Investment: Collaborate with Sales and Partner teams to identify strategic investment opportunities that accelerate business growth and drive market leadership.
  • Executive Relationships: Establish strong executive relationships within key accounts (EBCs), fostering trust and driving strategic partnerships.

What We Look For:

  • Proven track record of success in Customer Success, Customer Engineering, or Services leadership roles, ideally within a technology company experiencing significant growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly scale a business, develop a clear strategy for growth across both people and operational development.
  • Deep understanding of the Data and AI landscape, with experience working with large customers to realize business value through production implementations.
  • 10+ years of experience in senior customer-facing roles requiring a blend of influencing, validation, understanding, execution, and trust building.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to enforce good budget, project, and team governance while driving delivery excellence.
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively with Sales, Partners, and Technical Field teams to achieve shared goals of consumption, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
