Spring Living is part of Marlin Spring, a real estate firm focused on acquiring, developing, constructing, and repositioning properties across North America.

As an essential member of our team, the Unregulated Care Partner is dedicated to ensuring resident safety by delivering high-quality care aligned with our organization's vision and mission.

The Unregulated Care Partner assists residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and basic care, while monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate health professionals. This role may also involve supporting dining services, recreational activities, and maintaining cleanliness in shared areas.

The Unregulated Care Partner is expected to carry out their responsibilities in alignment with our core values, prioritize resident safety, and exemplify excellence in customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Administers medications in accordance with relevant legislative standards and corporate policies.

· Reviews and assists with residents' Support Plans, providing help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and laundry management.

· Monitors and records residents' vital signs, behaviors, mobility, and participation in activities, reporting any changes to the appropriate team members.

· Accompanies residents to social activities, appointments, and dining services.

· Responds promptly to nursing call systems.

· Aids in the transition of residents during move-ins, move-outs, and transfers.

· Engages in ongoing training and educational programs.

· Assists with dietary requirements.

· Keeps the Director of Wellness informed of any significant issues and takes appropriate corrective actions as needed.

· Promotes effective communication and positive relationships with medical staff, residents, families, and colleagues across departments.

· Facilitates calm responses and resolutions to any issues or emergencies that may arise.

· Performs all duties in a timely and effective manner, adhering to established company policies to meet the overall objectives of the role.

· Ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and all relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma and completion of an accredited Personal Support Worker program that meets legislative standards.

· Certification in Unregulated Administration or willingness to obtain upon hire.

· First Aid and CPR certification, along with experience in Unregulated administration.

· A minimum of six hundred (600) hours of related experience, including both classroom and practical training, preferably in a geriatric setting.

· Coursework in gerontology, aging, or dementia is advantageous.

· Experience working with seniors and understanding the aging process.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
