Senior Manager Sustainable Business Support

Main Responsibilities

The Senior Manager for Sustainable Business Support plays a key role in driving the Group's sustainability strategy forward. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Sustainable Business Support team to ensure effective delivery of sustainability initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining the Sustainable Construction guidelines, which define and explain what sustainable construction means for SAINT-GOBAIN.
  • Supporting management teams in countries and businesses to design and implement their sustainability roadmap, from scoping market developments to defining action plans.
  • Identifying and exploring new sustainability trends, topics, or developments on the market and developing expertise and recommendations to help businesses position and grow on those new topics.
  • Monitoring globally the development of main labeling schemes for sustainable buildings or sustainable products and contributing to public consultations on their evolutions.
  • Bringing support and expertise to the Offer & Product Management team within M&D and collaborating closely with the persons in OPM in charge of the "sustainable offer".
  • Representing Saint-Gobain with international customers, key accounts, and major international organisations to present and explain the Group's approach to sustainable construction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10-15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in sales & marketing.
  • A good knowledge of sustainability-related matters.
  • Some knowledge in building science and/or building assessment schemes would be a valuable plus.
  • Strong sales & marketing culture, customer-oriented, and business-driven.
  • TEC-minded, analytical, and synthetic.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, good capacity in project management, and capability to take initiative and be creative.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written, and ability to federate and animate networks and communities.
