Your Mission
Dioxycle is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Vice President of Process Engineering to play a key role during this critical transition from research and development to industrial piloting. Collaborating with our existing process team, you will contribute both individually by defining and reviewing various processes pertinent to our solutions and in a leadership capacity to foster team growth. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Strategic and Managerial Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance for the process engineering team, ensuring alignment with Dioxycle's vision and objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of process engineers, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the development of processes for our industrial demonstrator pilot unit, from conceptual studies to project execution (construction and commissioning).
- Establish and nurture relationships with technology providers, creating strategic collaborations and partnerships.
- Manage and enhance relationships with engineering firms, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project goals, and timely delivery of outputs.
Technical Expertise
- Supervise the definition and review of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Lead HAZOP/HAZID review sessions, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Inform the detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases of industrial units in partnership with the project engineering management team.
We are looking for a Vice President of Process Engineering who is committed to advancing our mission and possesses the following qualifications. Candidates with a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience are encouraged to consider this opportunity. This role requires hands-on involvement in technical work in addition to managerial responsibilities; candidates seeking solely managerial roles may not find this position suitable.
- 15+ years of technical leadership experience in process engineering, particularly in electrolysis, carbon capture utilization, or gas and liquid separation.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Proven project management expertise, with a history of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
- Extensive experience with industrial demonstrators and first-of-a-kind projects, as well as scaling up new technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of P&ID and PFD development and review processes, along with methods and tools for process engineering (e.g., Aspen HYSIS).
- Experience in conducting and leading HAZOP/HAZID review sessions.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
