Role Overview

This position seeks a results-driven mid-level attorney with expertise in corporate law to join a team of six professionals within the Legal Corporate Department. This department is responsible for overseeing general corporate matters for the Technip Energies group. The selected candidate will serve as a trusted business partner, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards. This role reports directly to the Vice-President of Legal Corporate.

Key Responsibilities

Specific Duties:

  • Oversee and manage compliance with Dutch corporate law obligations for Technip Energies.
  • Support the organization and execution of shareholders' meetings.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other corporate functions on corporate finance transactions, tax restructurings, and various other transactions.
  • Provide legal guidance to ensure adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, thereby minimizing exposure to regulatory risks.
  • Assist the Strategic Transactions legal team with company law matters related to strategic transactions.
  • Offer legal support to other corporate functions, including IT, procurement, Public Affairs, ESG, and real estate.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments, best practices, and assist in policy and procedure updates.
  • Identify and analyze legal issues, draft essential documents, and present clear recommendations to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Ethics & Compliance team to promote compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best-in-class legal department policies and practices.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with internal clients to develop proactive strategies to mitigate legal liabilities.
  • Help business partners understand the risks and implications of various actions, effectively communicating these risks and developing alternative strategies.
  • Ensure that legal services are practical, strategic, and aligned with Technip Energies' values, fostering collaboration with business partners.
  • Exhibit an inquisitive mindset and innovative approach, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Law degree from a recognized institution.
  • 4-6 years of experience with a strong understanding of corporate law and legal matters, with a preference for both in-house and law firm experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and client expectations.
  • Experience in a results-oriented, performance-driven setting focused on excellence.
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective while working in a multidisciplinary environment.
