In the role of Senior Rigging Supervisor (F/H/NB) , you will serve as the primary contact for all rigging-related matters. You will lead a team of two riggers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines. For our unannounced AAA project, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality automated systems related to animation, particularly focusing on the facial rigging of game characters, collaborating closely with animators, character artists, and prop artists.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a technical and artistic mentor for your team members,
  • Creating, prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring daily tasks and progress based on deliverables,
  • Assisting in resolving all tasks directly or indirectly related to rigging,
  • Establishing the facial rigging and skinning structure for characters to meet the needs of animators and technical/artistic directors,
  • Managing specific projects, including the creation and maintenance of animation files within the internal game engine; supporting the upkeep of the main skeleton; developing and maintaining exoskeletons and other addons; and creating and maintaining assets for both main and secondary characters.
  • Installing and maintaining various facial rigs for characters,
  • Ensuring that the final output (rigging/skinning) meets the artistic and technical standards of the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in management within the video game industry (at least one shipped AA project),
  • Strong understanding of facial anatomy and the production system of a facial rig (FACS, skinning decomposition),
  • In-depth knowledge of 3ds Max and MotionBuilder; familiarity with Maya and Blender is a plus,
  • Extensive experience with game engines, whether proprietary or commercial,
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and adaptability skills to meet the expected quality level,
  • Knowledge of coding and code editors (Python, MAXscript, C++, VS Code, etc.) is also preferred.
