Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing support and supervision to various functional areas, including recruitment and employment, compensation, employee relations, health and safety, wellness and benefit programs, team member services, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the administration, communication, and reporting of our benefits program.
  2. Supervise recruiting, selection, and placement activities for non-exempt personnel, establish and maintain relationships with external sources, and submit weekly schedules to the Union.
  3. Process employment verification requests, unemployment claims, and Worker's Compensation claims, and ensure accurate and timely payment of Union dues.
  4. Monitor, communicate, and process merit reviews and Status Change Forms, and review with the Human Resources Director.
  5. Update and implement internal communications, and ensure timely forwarding of necessary HR paperwork and documentation to hotel departments.
  6. Provide project support through development and execution of key processes, events, and initiatives.
  7. Assist in planning, development, evaluation, implementation, and administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures, and their dissemination through the HR policy manual, team member handbook, presentations, meetings, and other delivery methods.
  8. Oversee compliance, monitoring, and maintenance of I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification records, and assist in maintaining affirmative action programs and EEO-1 reports.
  9. Ensure completion of new hire paperwork, including background checks, references, drug testing, I-9, and other required documents.
  10. Complete separation paperwork, including unemployment notices and separation checklists, and assist in colleague recognition, safety, and well-being initiatives.
  11. Perform day-to-day HR office tasks, including answering phones, sending and responding to emails, scanning documents, sending and receiving faxes, filing, printing name tags and ID cards, ordering business cards, and other related duties.
