Director of Resource Mobilization and Partnership

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Resource Mobilization and Partnership to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy to support the Institute's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a resource mobilization strategy to diversify the Institute's revenue streams and increase funding from a variety of sources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, development partners, and private sector organizations.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, partnerships, and other forms of support.
- Develop and manage proposals, reports, and other documentation to support resource mobilization efforts.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the Institute's leadership and staff on resource mobilization and partnership development.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or international development.
- At least 12 years of experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, and partnership development, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of resource mobilization and advocacy practices, as well as excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French, with a good knowledge of other languages an asset.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
