Director of Resource Mobilization and Partnership

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Director of Resource Mobilization and Partnership. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mobilize resources and build partnerships to support the Institute's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies to secure funding and resources for IITA's programs and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and partnerships to support IITA's mission and objectives.
- Develop and manage partnerships with key stakeholders to leverage resources, knowledge, and networks for mutual benefit.
- Provide leadership and guidance to IITA's teams on resource mobilization and partnership development.
- Master's degree in economics, finance, banking, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in partnerships with financial investors and fundraising, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position in a reputable institution.
- Strong knowledge of resource mobilization and advocacy practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build effective resource mobilization networks.
- Highly experienced, connected, and engaged in working with African governments at the highest level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and good knowledge of English.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team player who can collaborate effectively with other IITA Directorates and Units.
IITA Kinshasa office, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Benefits:The contract will be for an initial period of three years. IITA offers an internationally competitive remuneration package paid in US Dollars.
