Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of intricate monthly financial outcomes to pinpoint issues for business leaders; offer insights and propose recommendations for potential adjustments.

• Collaborate with business leaders to analyze weekly and monthly trends (e.g., expenses, fringe benefits) to refine quarterly forecasts and budgets, while providing constructive feedback.

• Extract insights from financial trend reports, synthesize data, and create presentations for senior management.

• Evaluate system capabilities and process efficiencies, providing recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.

• Prepare and execute month-end journal entries; conduct balance sheet account reconciliations; gather data and generate reports to support trend analysis.

• Work alongside business departments to monitor complex and high-volume SGP percentages at both product and customer levels.

• Prepare, file, and manage annual tax declarations (e.g., VAT, income, sales, and local taxes).

• Address complex inquiries and resolve issues from tax advisors and fiscal authorities/entities, managing audit requests.

• Implement processes, standard operating procedures, and adapt to new and country-specific regulations.

• Ensure timely month-end closing, including statutory annual reports.

• Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives.

• Mentor, coach, and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.

• Ensure compliance with Edwards policies by applying knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors.

• Other incidental duties may include advising leaders on the financial implications of recent or proposed process changes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or a locally recognized degree/certification.
  • 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in accounting, forecasting, planning, or expense analysis preferred.
  • Experience in an international company preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in English (excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French).

Additional Skills:

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, and familiarity with financial systems; ERP experience (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including consultative and relationship management abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills.

• In-depth knowledge of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to accounting.

• Solid understanding of cost accounting processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

• Strong grasp of financial concepts and principles.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
