Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Luggage Porter to join our team at Sofitel London St James. As a Luggage Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth arrival and departure of our guests, handling their luggage with care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets guests at the Front Door and guides them to the reception desk or function rooms.
  • Assists guests with their luggage for check-ins and check-outs.
  • Carries guests' luggage to their rooms upon check-in and check-out.
  • Ensures all guest property is safely handled and stored in the Luggage Room.
  • Complies with standards of grooming, elegance, and playfulness.
  • Replaces the Doorman at the door as needed.
  • Handles vehicle parking for guests according to procedure.

Requirements:

  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Previous experience as a Luggage Porter in a hotel is beneficial but not essential.
  • A smart and professional appearance is necessary.
  • A positive attitude and good communication skills are essential.
  • A willingness to take on physically demanding tasks is required.
  • Care must be taken when driving guests' cars.
