Your Future Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team in Saint-Ouen, France. As a key Business Partner for our Finance department, you will provide critical insights and advice on indirect taxation matters. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing business transactions for VAT implications and ensuring compliance with local and international tax legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on structuring for optimal VAT efficiency in public tenders and contract execution.
- Monitor indirect tax implications of transactions within the Alstom Group, both domestically and internationally.
- Conduct regular VAT audits to ensure compliance and identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Advise on tax rulings and agreements with tax authorities, ensuring optimal tax savings and optimization.
- Identify opportunities for VAT savings and optimization, such as VAT recovery, exemptions, and special schemes.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in taxation or a related field.
- Knowledge of local and international VAT legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking to develop and implement VAT compliance strategies.
- Proven ability to analyze contracts and business transactions for tax implications.
- Negotiation skills to liaise effectively with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Capacity to lead VAT training programs and drive knowledge sharing within the organization.
